Collections & Deliveries
Collection Policy: Once a collection date and time have been scheduled, please ensure you stick to this. I have other commitments outside of baking and am not always available outside of pre-arranged times. I will always send a photo of my driveway with instructions to find my address. Please make sure you follow these to locate my driveway.
Your order MUST be paid for before collection. I will not allow the cake to leave before full payment is made so please ensure the balance is cleared.
Delivery Options: For celebration cakes, delivery is available at an additional cost dependent upon location and availability.
Wedding Cakes and tiered cakes exceeding 2 tiers cannot be collected; they will exclusively be delivered to your designated venue. Anything above 2 tiers will need stacking at the venue and this can only be done by myself. Delivery and setup charges will be specified in your quote.
Postal Deliveries: Once treats have left my premises and are in the hands of the delivery company, I relinquish control. I am not responsible for any mishandling or damage incurred during transit due to handling or weather conditions.
Cake Transportation Guidelines: Please ensure you follow the below guidelines when transporting your cakes:
- Cakes must be placed on a flat surface, either in the passenger footwell or the boot of your vehicle. Holding the cake or situating it on a seat is discouraged.
- Ensure the car’s heating is turned off. On warm days, run the AC for some time before placing the cake in the car.
- Prevent direct sunlight from reaching the cake.
- Handle the cake solely by its base, avoiding contact with your body.
- If you are transporting the cake to an alternative location, refrigerate it beforehand. Transporting a cake at room temperature significantly increases the risk of damage.
- Exercise extreme caution while driving. I cannot be held responsible for any damages occurring after the cake has left my possession. Adhering to these guidelines is imperative to guarantee your cake’s safety.
