Cake Care
One you have collected your cake from us it becomes your responsibility! We highly recommend you follow the below steps to ensure your cake is not damaged during transportation or storage.
When transporting your cake please do not hold it on your lap or strap it onto the seat with the seatbelt! We recommend putting the boxed cake on the floor in the footwell or in the boot on a flat surface away from loose objects.
We understand that not everyone has space to store a large cake in the fridge, so all of our cakes are set at room temperature and are therefore able to be stored in a cool area outside of the fridge.
However, if you have a buttercream or ganache covered cake and would prefer to store your it in the fridge, then please do so. The cake must be stored whilst still in the box. Please be aware that after removing from the fridge, the cake may ‘sweat’ while adjusting to the change in temperature.
If you cake is covered in fondant then it must NOT be stored in the fridge as this will cause the fondant to go sticky. Please store the boxed cake in a cool place away from direct sunlight.
